I: Hi Ms. Ling. How are you doing today? We’re so excited to have you on our podcast, the Karbashians podcast.
C: Thank you for having me. How are you?
I: I’m good thank you.
C: Great.
I: So let’s get started off with our questions. So, where have you worked in the past?
C: Umm, I’ve worked at the Four Seasons hotel, in Vancouver, I’ve worked at the Fairmont palacer in Calgary and I’ve worked in multiple restaurants in Vancouver. Umm, catering, airline catering. Umm, cafés, coffee shops, the Arts Club theatre- that’s where I got all my experience.
I: It sounds like you’ve had a lot of experience. How many years have you been cooking for?
C: It’s probably been around… uhh… 30 years.
I: Wow!
C: Yes. I started… I started when I was 18.
I: Ok, wow! Umm… so you work at Vancouver Community College as a…
C: Culinary assistant instructor.
I: Ok, what does that entail?
C: Umm… I… right now at this point I assist the instructors. Umm helping kids umm… just sort of like with their… uhh… backup with their uhh… lessons and just teaching them, if I catch them doing something incorrectly, teaching them the right way how to do things.
I: That’s all the questions that we have for today. Thank you so much for you know… letting us come and interview you. It’s been great talking to you.
C: Thank you very much and uhh… thank you again! Bye!
I: Bye!
